Hello! My name is Leann (lee-anne), and welcome to "self-love, best-love".
This is my first time blogging, and I created this website for my Writing for Digital Media class. But, this blog serves more than just as an assignment to me. On this blog, I will be advocating for self-love while using makeup as an instrument. My social media campaign will be appreciating makeup, advocating for the therapeutic benefits of makeup, and how makeup is a form of art and self-expression of creativity and beauty. This blog will be constantly changing and evolving, just as people and trends do... so stay tuned!
Now a little about me: I am a junior, Communication major at Marymount University, in Arlington, Virginia. I am 20 years old, and was born and raised in Northern Virginia. I was a tri-athlete in high school and played basketball, volleyball, and soccer. My freshmen year of college, I played basketball for my school. I stopped and only played for a year because of personal reasons, but am now a regular gym-goer. Aside from all the sports, I have always had a special appreciation for anything that has to do with beauty. I believe that when you look your best, you feel your best, and vice versa.
My goal is to inspire through the importance of self-love and reaching one's self brilliance. So, along with other wonderful ways of practicing self-love and appreciation, why not implement makeup into your routine! I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I do creating it.
